Ulster University beat UCD to win Sigerson Cup

Ulster University secured their sixth Sigerson Cup title, marking their first victory since 2008 when they beat UCD in the Sigerson Final on Thursday night.

Ulster University showcased a very dominant display particularly evident in their three-goal burst during the rain-soaked first half.

Despite UCD’s early confidence, Ulster University’s relentless attack, spearheaded by Darragh Canavan, quickly turned the tide in their favor.

While UCD staged a valiant comeback in the second half, narrowing the gap to five points, Ulster University managed to maintain their lead.

Key contributions from players like John Largo Ellis Darragh and Ruairi Canavan ensured Ulster University’s victory, with Darragh Canavan sealing the match with the final score.
