Rory Gallagher remains clear favourite to return to Derry job

Rory Gallagher remains the clear favourite to return to the Derry Senior Football job.

It’s believed that Gallagher is very eager to return to the Derry job and that he has the support of numerous high-ranking county officials.

Gallagher was seen with Senior Derry officials in the stand at Healy Park during the Ulster minor final earlier this year. It is also believed Gallagher has the support of the players.

Before he can be reappointed he will need the support of 50% of delegates who would have to back the appointment.Malachy O’Rourke is also still linked with the job but with Glen’s defence of their club All Ireland underway it would be a surprise if he was now named manager.
