Matthew Tierney Injury Will Cause More Worry For Padraig Joyce.

Galway defeated Tyrone in Healy Park this afternoon on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-12.

Matthew Tierney came off with an injury after kicking a ball off the ground. After kicking the ball Tierney looked distressed, continued to try to run it off, but went to ground again seeming to be in a lot of discomfort.

Tierney then exited the game being replaced by Niall Daly.

Galway are still without Shane Walsh, Damien Comer and Cillian McDaid who are still recovering from their own respective injuries.

In some positive news, Sean Mulkerrin made it through another full 70 minutes which will be a huge boost for Joyce. Sean Kelly also came on for 20 minutes and seemed to make it through without any re-occurring injury.

Hopefully Tierney’s injury is minor and he can play next weekend for Galway’s massive test against Derry.
