Mackin double helps help Armagh overpower Kerry

Armagh 3-14 Kerry 1-13

In a thrilling encounter at the BOX-IT Athletic Grounds, Armagh continued their unbeaten streak in the Lidl NFL, dealing reigning champions Kerry their first defeat of the season.

The first half saw Armagh seize control with a Caroline O’Hanlon goal, leading 1-07 to 0-05 at halftime.

Despite Kerry’s second-half rally taking them into the lead, Armagh fought back, with Aimee Macken securing victory with two crucial goals.

Armagh’s seamless transition to the top flight was evident as they clinched their fifth consecutive win.

Despite Kerry’s efforts, including Katie Brosnan’s tying goal, Armagh’s resilience shone through, ultimately sealing the win with Macken’s late heroics.
