Jimmy McGuinness Speaks About His Return To Donegal.

In 2023 in the prelimary All-Ireland quarter final, Tyrone defeated Donegal on a scoreline of 1-18 to 0-13 in Ballybofey. Donegal has just ran out of road in the All-Ireland series after being knocked out by Down in the Ulster championship also.

Speaking to Off The Ball, Jimmy McGuinness revealed his reasoning for coming back.

“They arrived at the door the day after the got beat by Tyrone and they never really stopped after that. That’s the bottom line. Two days after that there was a letter in the post-box, and it just went from there, they just constantly never left me alone. That kind of pulls at you like, emotionally, because your sitting in the house going could you help them, could you make a difference and you know I was not actively working at the minute and you know you sort of had that scenario running around in your head and then eventually Paddy McBrearty broke me.”
